Clueless Joe: No ‘Crisis’ at Border, Despite Texas CBP Detention Center at 729% Over Legal Capacity, ICE Searching for Volunteers

The use of the word “crisis” is effectively verboten at the White House. Never mind that there really is a crisis at the border.

According to FNC’s Adam Shaw and Chris Jenkins, things have gone decidedly from bad to worse (emphasis mine);

But the administration isn’t calling the situation a crisis.

“It doesn’t matter what you call it. It is an enormous challenge,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday, before saying: “We don’t feel the need to, you know, play games with what it’s called.”

While numbers have been increasing at the border for months, particularly of unaccompanied children (UACs) and family units, they have spiked since President Biden took office. The number of UACs in custody has tripled in recent weeks, while there were more than 100,000 migrant encounters in February.

Nonetheless, ICE is now scrounging for ICE personnel to “volunteer” for deployment to the Rio Grande area. Keep in mind that ICE stretches from Georgia to Guam and from Tacoma to Tampa.

In the meantime, Britain’s the Daily Mail is citing that one of ICS’s head honchos is issuing a clarion call nationwide to deal with the crush of illegal aliens crossing over since Biden recently stole the presidential election (emphasis mine);

ICE has asked for volunteers to send to the US-Mexico border ‘as soon as this weekend’ as a south Texas migrant complex is seven times over capacity and reports are surfacing of children being forced to sleep on floors of detention centers.

Michael Meade, ICE’s acting assistant director for field operations called for the ‘immediate’ deployment of available personnel to the border in an urgent email to senior staff Thursday night as he warned the challenging circumstances will likely ‘grow over the coming months’.

With the bad news seemingly never ending, CBS News is reporting that the Donna, Texas, US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) holding facility is beyond bursting at the seams (emphasis mine);

On March 2, the Donna complex was holding more than 1,800 people — 729% of its pandemic-era capacity, which is designed for 250 migrants, according to an internal CBP document reviewed by CBS News.

Just remember folks, there is no crisis.
