War On Police: New York City’s Cops Leaving in Droves, 2020 Numbers Skyrocket

Members of the New York City Police Department have obviously had enough. The past few years have seen New York cops take heaps of abuse from City Hall, but 2021 just may see all sorts of records busted as far as LEOs pulling the plug is concerned.

As reported by Hank Berrien of the Daily Wire, just in 2020;

The members of the NYPD grew so disenchanted with their jobs in 2020 that over 5,300 uniformed officers either retired or quit, an astonishing 75% increase over the year before, amounting to 15% of the total number of officers on the force.

But the good folks over at the Daily Wire aren’t the only ones reporting on the mass exodus from The Big Apple.

Dean Balsamini of the New York Post noted some fairly dismal numbers;

In 2019, the NYPD faced:

  • 1,509 uniformed officers simply quit
  • 1,544 filed for retirement
  • Total of 3,053

As previously cited, for 2020, 5,300 officers represents about a 15 percent drop in uniformed cops.

But the NY Post is also noting, as of April 5, 2021, the NYPD ranks of uniformed officers has dropped from 36,900 in 2019 to a dangerously low 34,974.

Gotham will soon descend into total anarchy and destruction… and there sure as hell won’t be a Batman there to save them.
